WELCOME TO PLAYTER ESTATES

Situated in Toronto’s East End, Playter Estates is an exclusive, high-class residential neighbourhood named after Loyalist Captain George Playter and his family, who immigrated to Canada from Pennsylvania in the 1790s.

THE NEIGHBOURS

Playter Estates is vibrant and welcoming, with a strong Greek cultural influence.

WHAT TO EXPECT

THE LIFESTYLE

Living in Playter Estates provides easy access to the shopping district on Danforth Avenue, where numerous cafes, fashion boutiques, specialty shops, and the best Greek food restaurants can be found. South of the Danforth is Riverdale Park, which offers a number of sport and recreation facilities, and provides access to the Don Valley Ravine and the Martin Goodman Trail along the waterfront. Pape/Danforth is the closest public library. Transportation from Playter States is convenient thanks to the neighborhood’s proximity to the Bloor-Danforth subway stations as well as the Don Valley Parkway.

THE MARKET

Typical homes in the neighbourhood are large, Edwardian, and Victorian single-family homes built in the early 1900s. Though fairly uniform in style, these homes display unique architectural details.
