Emiline Layfield
REALTOR®

Emiline Layfield is a Toronto-based Realtor® with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada and a formally trained Building Biology and Environmental Consultant — a combination that exists almost nowhere else in luxury real estate.
She serves clients across Toronto, Creemore, and Muskoka with a deep, technical understanding of how a home actually performs for the people living in it. Air quality, light, materials, water, acoustics, electromagnetic environment — these are not afterthoughts in her practice. They are the foundation of it.
A graduate of McGill University in Cultural Anthropology, with additional studies at Leiden University in The Netherlands, Emiline spent years in business development with a global technology firm headquartered in London, UK, before moving into the intersection of solar design, engineering, and the built environment. This breadth — humanistic, technical, global — shapes every conversation she has with a client.
Formally certified in Building Biology, new-build construction, and electromagnetic radiation assessment, she evaluates properties through a lens that considers not just what a home is worth today, but what it will ask of the people who live in it — and for her sellers, articulates value with a precision that attracts the most discerning purchasers in the market.
She brings calm, genuine attentiveness and a standard of care that extends well beyond the transaction — taking the time to understand not just what a client is looking for, but how they want to feel in their home, and what they need from it over the long term.
Our homes are our third skin — they shape our health, impact longevity, and determine our quality of life. For clients who understand this, Emiline Layfield is the advisor they’ve been looking for.
